Natalie knew at a a very young age that she wanted to become an artist. What and who is emerging is amazing art and a voice that makes us think about our environment, about mass marketing, and about our food. Through her art, Natalie is challenging us to look at all the fancy packaging of food, and how the pretty labels help us believe we are eating food that is okay for us. Natalie wonders out loud why we are not eating food as it meant to be eaten–out of the ground or off the plant, au natural! Her paintings speak strongly on this message, but they also conjure up qualities that Natalie holds near to her heart: joy, love, vulnerability, and faith. Her website and studio are called “Providence”because Natalie feels called and led by God to make a difference, to put her faith in her gifts, and to teach others to do the same. In this interview, Natalie shares her challenges, and how painting helps to overcome these challenges, and she hopes her paintings help you as well.
