Spiritualism vs Materialism
About 2.5 years ago, Donna Maria and I left the expansive habitat of a beautiful 4 bedroom home we were blessed to rent after we had sold our home and had let go of nearly all of our belongings. Our purpose in doing so was multi layered. We felt called to provide service to various parts of the globe in our effort to live the motto of our company, To Live For, LLC: ‘inspire love, joy, and positive vibes.’ We believed it was important to detach from our material belongings to be free to go … [Read more...]
To Live For is on the BIG Island
As 2020 starts to be unwrapped, we have decided to set some roots on the Big Island in Hawaii. This is the island where we started our 2 years of worldwide service while being resident managers of the quaint Kona Tiki Hotel. We felt called to return here a couple of months ago to delve deeper into our selves and our mission while NOT managing a hotel, a task that required significant time EVERY day for 6 months. So, here we are, nestled on a sacred 2.5 acre farm with countless fruit trees, … [Read more...]

Living in Your Authenticity
I set an intention everyday, what I want to inspire, attract & manifest in my day. Today is "authenticity" so I ask myself what is authenticity? My authenticity is different than anyone else’s, as is yours. I believe authenticity is an ability to be true to one’s self & your highest callings. This can be ever evolving & changing depending on where we are called to at different times of our lives. How can we honor & express our genuine heartfelt desires & gifts in our own … [Read more...]
Sand-Dollar
My love with Kai (ocean) was birthed in my childhood because I was blessed to swim on a daily basis (summer months) in a beautiful serpentine stone quarry. I loved exploring the depths of the 26 foot deep, green hued, swimming hole looking for artifacts left behind from the days when the serpentine stone was mined for houses and walls centuries earlier. The quarry held the stories of the miners from long ago and then from the hundreds of families who swam at the quarry once it became a swim … [Read more...]
Intentions in Discovering Wonderment & Joy
I woke up this morning feeling anxious and out of sorts, for many known and unknown reasons. I could not even focus to meditate, which is usually my bliss place, so I set my intention for the day to feel childlike wonderment, which was really the opposite of how I was feeling. I felt called to go to the beach before breakfast and became sweetly and expansively enveloped by the sun and waves. Taking time to be still on the beach honored my emotions as I redirected my intentions of how I would … [Read more...]
Making a Difference in Stillness and Silence
You know the ageless question, "If a tree falls in the forest, and no one is there, does it make any noise?" Well, here's my somewhat, but not really, related question, "If we sit in complete stillness, solitude, and quiet for one minute, then an hour, then a full day, and then an entire week, will we make a difference?" Before I answer these questions from my perspective, please allow me a few sentences to explain why I am asking it. Many of my previous articles reference my wife's and … [Read more...]
