To Live For welcomes Jameson, a life long artist, who has traveled the country painting beautiful murals, but is now traveling the Hawaiian Islands in his newly furbished mobile art studio and gallery, the Aloha Art Truck. Jameson’s office is wherever he parks his truck, and then opens the side doors to view his inspiration, the sacred waters and sea life of Hawaii. While the Aloha Art Truck serves as Jameson’s studio wherever he goes, he also has his paintings on display, so it is his mobile gallery as well. There is so much vibrancy in Jameson’s paintings, and so it is no surprise that Jameson reflects these same qualities on his daily journey.
Even though Jameson has been painting for much of his life, it was change in his thinking that spurred the expansion of his mural work and then his concept of creating the Aloha Art Truck. Jameson started to work on framing his intentions and thoughts in positive ways. He created his first ‘vision board’ a few years ago, and now he has vision boards throughout his house as a reminder of his hopes and goals. These hopes are becoming a reality.
Jameson admits there are times when he wonders if he is doing the right thing. He has invested his life savings into converting an unused food truck, which sat idle for three years and had tropical plants growing on and throughout it, into the Aloha Art Truck, but Jameson keeps moving forward because he can feel the joy in his work and in him self.
When you meet Jameson, you can also feel his joy and appreciation for his gift of painting, for the opportunity of painting at some of the world’s most precious and sacred beaches, and for his connection with the people who are enjoying the beaches or waves and the animals that grace the Pacific Ocean.
Jameson’s outlook on life, his respect for each moment, and his passion for art are infectious. His smile lights up the beach, even when the sun is brightest, and his love for that which surrounds him is unconditional. We are so grateful to have met Jameson.
You embody what ‘To Live For’ is all about, Jameson: love, joy, and positive vibes. Mahalo, for sharing part of your journey with us.
